I’m the founder of RS Editorial Services, where I work with fiction authors who want to turn strong drafts into publish-ready manuscripts. My editing focuses on clarity, structure, and preserving the author’s voice. Rather than applying formulaic changes, I help writers see their work more clearly and strengthen what’s already there. Before becoming an editor, I worked in law and intellectual property. As an admitted lawyer in New South Wales and a registered Trade Mark Attorney, I bring a structured, detail-focused approach to analysing manuscripts and refining them with precision. My goal is simple: thoughtful editing that helps authors produce their best possible work.
Editing, at its core, is about discernment.
Before sentences are polished, structure must hold. Before grammar is corrected, meaning must land. My work begins by identifying what your manuscript is trying to achieve — and then strengthening the foundations that allow it to succeed.

Once I understand your project and your goals, I’ll create a personalised editing plan. This includes a timeline, a breakdown of the areas I’ll focus on, and how we’ll collaborate to bring your written work to life. This plan ensures we’re always on the same page throughout the process.
Step 3: The Editing Magic Begins
Now the fun part! I’ll dive into your written work, providing in-depth edits that cover everything from grammar and punctuation to sentence structure and plot flow (for fiction projects). I’ll send you a revised version, along with clear, constructive feedback to ensure the edits reflect your unique voice.
Step 4: Collaborative Refinement
After receiving the edited version, you’ll have the chance to review the changes. This is your opportunity to ask questions, request revisions, and ensure the edits align with your vision. Together, we’ll fine-tune the document until you’re 100% satisfied with the results.
